Textile expansion joints are flexible connections, the purpose of which is to absorb vibrations and compensate for movements between the pipe sections to which they are connected.
The appropriate expansion joint model, as well as the correct choice of materials, will depend on the characteristics of each specific installation.
In order to respond to the different requirements of each application, multiple different designs and construction forms have been developed. An appropriate selection can respond to a large number of demanding requirements, save costs and help protect the environment, which together make them a critical component for your industry.

Advantages
Textile expansion joints absorb movements in any direction, whether axial or lateral, and even torsional movements, compared to metal expansion joints that only absorb axial or lateral movements and never at the same time.
This is mainly due to its low weight, which means lower transport and installation costs.
Circular, rectangular, conical, with or without flanges, with flanges of different sizes, each end with a different form of fastening, etc.
The multi-layer design and high-performance materials (for high temperatures, anti-wear, anti-corrosion, etc.) ensure a long life. This leads to significant economic savings, since maintenance cycles are longer.

Expansion joints for non-demanding environments

ECO Line expansion joints are recommended for low temperature applications in installations with non-demanding requirements. The ECO line comprises a series of designs with different characteristics: single or double layer models made of the highest quality materials, with different additional protective reinforcements in the fastening area, in custom sizes and shapes that allow for perfect adaptation to the most diverse requirements, with the best quality/price ratio.
Within the ECO Line, Comdiflex has developed special designs that combine the ability to absorb both vibrations and movements, especially recommended for use in fan and extractor installations.
The temperature range is from -40 to 200°C

Expansion joints for high temperatures and demanding applications
“Resistance, Flexibility and Versatility”
The High-Tech line incorporates a series of multi-layer compensators specially developed for operation in high temperature applications and severe conditions. They are mechanically robust products made from high-performance materials. The design can include additional protection elements such as insulating packages made of ceramic fibre or mineral wool that offer additional protection to the compensator, improving its performance by preventing the accumulation of particles between the metal jacket and the compensator. The temperature range is up to 1000°C. The temperature range is from -40 to 200°C.

The expansion joints of the INNOVA line from Comdiflex are manufactured using specialised PTFE-based materials with the aim of offering excellent chemical resistance to both acidic and alkaline substances. Our highly qualified technical team develops expansion joints according to the specific needs of each client, finding the solution to the most demanding and severe requirements. Special designs, extra reinforced or with pre-formed waves, offer perfect resistance to sudden or simultaneous movements, conditions with extreme temperatures and/or the existence of corrosive fluids.
In addition to the classic models, Comdiflex has developed additional types of expansion joints for special service conditions, both geometric and technical.
