Expansion compensators are flexible connections, whose purpose is to absorb vibrations and compensate movements between the pipe sections to which they are connected.
The appropriate model of the compensator, as well as the correct choice of materials, will depend on the characteristics of each particular installation. Resistance to temperatures and pressures must be taken into account in its design. Also to corrosion and different chemical agents, adaptability to different movements of the conductor, noise reduction, vibrations, etc.
